MPSM44060 — Merrill No-Lead Low Water Cut-Off Pressure Switch, 40/60 psi.

This switch adds low-water cutoff protection on top of standard cut-in/cut-out switching: if the well can't keep up and pressure drops roughly 10 psi below the cut-in point instead of recovering, the switch shuts the pump off automatically instead of letting it run dry, and it has to be manually reset at the lever before the pump will restart. That protects the motor and the well from the damage a pump running dry can cause.

Specifications:

• Shuts the pump off automatically if pressure falls ~10 psi below cut-in without recovering
• Manual reset lever -- won't auto-restart the pump after a low-water shutoff
