The Goulds J15S3 is a 1-1/2 HP, 230/460-volt, three-phase booster water well jet pump. It uses the same shallow well jet pump end as the JS+ series -- integral shallow well adapter, no separate fittings needed -- paired with a three-phase motor for booster and pressure-boosting service on three-phase power. Suction is 1-1/4" NPT and discharge is 1" NPT.

  • Horsepower: 1-1/2 HP
  • Voltage: 230/460V, Three-Phase
  • Capacity: 26.6 GPM at 30 PSI, 5 ft suction lift
  • Pressure Switch: 30-50 PSI (AS4), preset
  • Pipe Connections: 1-1/4" NPT suction, 1" NPT discharge
  • Maximum Liquid Temperature: 140°F (60°C)

Construction & Features:

  • Design: Compact -- integral shallow well adapter built into the casing, eliminating the need for a separate adapter
  • Casing: Cast iron, back pullout serviceable design
  • Impeller: FDA-compliant, glass-filled engineered composite
  • Diffuser: Bolt-down, food-grade glass-filled composite with stainless steel wear ring
  • Tubing & Fittings: Corrosion-resistant, UV-resistant engineered plastic with hand-tight O-ring connections; nozzle clean-out plug in the pump case
  • Motor: Two-compartment design; NEMA standard, stainless steel shaft
  • Mechanical Seal: Diaphragm-protected -- never runs dry; excellent air-handling and re-prime ability
  • Finish: Electrocoat baked paint
  • Certification: NSF/ANSI 61 & 372 listed (jet pump and shallow well components)

Applications: Homes, farms, cottages, and pressure-boosting service on three-phase electrical systems.

Installation note: a pressure tank is required on all systems. Three-phase motors require a properly sized starter with overload protection, and wiring must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local codes and the National Electrical Code.
