The Goulds 250L60 is a 60 HP, 19-stage 6" submersible pump end from Xylem’s Goulds Water Technology L Series, built in stainless steel for high-capacity water supply from 6" and larger wells. This is a water end only -- the motor is ordered and packaged separately and must be sized to at least 60 HP with a 6" NEMA-dimension diameter.
- Minimum HP Required: 60 HP (motor not included -- ordered separately)
- Stages: 19
- Required Motor Diameter: 6"
- Recommended Flow Range: 70-300 GPM (Best Efficiency Point: 250 GPM)
- Discharge Connection: 4" NPT
- Minimum Well Size: 6"
- Rotation: Counterclockwise (CCW), viewed from discharge end
- Approx. Length / Weight: 97.8" / 128 lbs
- Pump Body Diameter: 5.67"
- Maximum Fluid Temperature: 140°F (60°C)
Construction:
- Discharge Head, Check Valve Support & Motor Adapter: Cast stainless steel (ASTM CF-8 / AISI 304)
- Impeller & Diffuser: AISI 304 stainless steel -- new design for improved efficiency
- Shaft, Shaft Coupling & Spacer: AISI 431 stainless steel -- removable, heavy-duty splined coupling for maximum load-carrying capability; four-fluted shaft eliminates impeller keys
- Check Valve: Stainless steel, positive-sealing, built into the discharge head
- Bearings: Replaceable silicon carbide bearings for excellent abrasive handling and wear resistance; thrust bearing is PTFE + graphite
- Shaft Sleeve & Bushing: Tungsten carbide
- Wear Rings: Technopolymer PPO (engineered polymer)
- Elastomers: EPDM
- Strainer, Tie Rod & Cable Guard: AISI 304 stainless steel
- Fasteners: All stainless steel
Applications: High-capacity commercial, municipal, agricultural, and industrial water supply from 6" and larger wells -- irrigation, dewatering, water treatment, and other applications requiring sustained high-volume groundwater delivery.
Installation note: water end and motor are ordered and packaged separately -- select a compatible motor at or above the minimum HP shown, matching the required motor diameter above. A control box is required for single-phase motors; a magnetic starter with Class 10 overloads is required for three-phase units.
